Welcome to the “ONE BIG WEEKEND, 2020” Hub!

**ANNOUNCEMENT: Given the ever evolving COVID-19 situation and updated safety precautions here in the US and around the world, the folks who are organizing this year’s One Big Weekend tournament have decided to POSTPONE this years tournament until later in the year when it will hopefully be safer to gather in person in local groups.  That means that not only will the April 15 – May 6 window for local events be moved until later this year (date to be determined later), but the OBW Online Final will also be pushed down from its original May 16th date.  We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, but we are following safety guidelines, and the health and safety of our community, not to mention their families, is obviously paramount.

This does not mean, however, that all the fun and games are off the proverbial table in the short run, however.  In place of what was originally going to be the OBW:Online Final on May 16th we will now be running 2 online OBW “Virtual-Local” tournaments in which the top 2 finishers of each events will qualify for the actual OBW:Online Final happening later this year.  We are calling these Virtual Local Tournaments The One Big Weekend: Corona Consolation Tournaments.  There will be one for North America and one for Europe.  For details about these events, including how to sign up click this link… https://rollinthunder.xyz/obw2020CCT

CONTACT US AT arge@rollinthunder.xyz if you’re interested in participating.

Check back here in the near future as we are working on creating a sign up page for the event and I’ll post those instructions here…

This page will be a continual work in progress as we move toward and through the One Big Weekend Events this year.

Let’s make use of our imaginary new keyword TRANSMOGRIFY!

Below you will find the basics about the event and information about how to sign up your local scene to participate in the festivities!

What is “One Big Weekend?”

“One Big Weekend” is an annual, world wide event, created after the loss of WKO’s to encourage the international Dice Masters Community to come together and have fun!  Brought to you by a dedicated horde of volunteers (including DM North’s Jourdo, Joe & Ryan from C&R Gameroom, True Mr. Six from the MoD, Zack from James & Zack, Yort or Troy depending on which two way mirror you’re looking through, and the Rollin’ Thunder Crew with valuable assists from many others including Peter Van de Velde, Jocelyn of DM North, StuART, and Peter Cernak) we’ve set out to have a “weekend” where local scenes across the globe get together and roll in a format of their own choosing.

In truth, this “weekend” is really a window of time between which any local scene can run their event and for this year that window is currently between April 15th- May 6th, 2020. ** DUE TO THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK WE ARE GOING TO BE MOVING THE WINDOW UNTIL LATER THIS YEAR – STAY TUNED FOR MORE DETAILS! **

We will send prize support to each local scene that signs up in time to avoid rushed deliveries.  Tune in to Rollin’ Thunder to hear more about that prize support as it’s being FABRICATED!

The top two finishers from each local event, are qualified to play in a one day World Wide Online Final, with even bigger prize support on the line.  There’s no requirement that a top finisher play in the online tournament, should they choose not to or be unable.  Furthermore, qualifications can pass down, sequentially to the players finishing behind them if someone drops out.  We would like to hold the Online Final in Mid-May.  **THE ONLINE FINAL WILL TAKE PLACE AFTER THE LOCAL EVENTS ARE RESCHEDULED **
