DICE MASTERS RESOURCES & LINKS:

Wonderful sites and channels abound out there to help your game and up your enjoyment.

Here are links to a few of them:

THE DICE COALITION

When The Reserve Pool folded a few years back The Dice Coalition stepped into the breach and has been the go to place (a hub if you will) for Dice Masters.  From their home page you’ll not only be shown links to recent News, Articles, Media (Podcasts & Video) and Recent Wizkids Rules Forum rulings, but the drop down menus contain tons of useful information and tools.  The Wiki is a treasure trove of dice masters history, teams, formats and more.  The Tools pull down has the new and improved version of Nutki’s original TEAM BUILDER (perhaps the #1 most useful tool), a Draft Pack Generator (courtesy of Trubie), a Proxy Dice Engine and a Custom Card Maker.  Under the Community Pull Down you can even find “Rooms” (already set up Google Hang Out rooms) to hop in and make on-line dice masters play easy – just click on the Online Play tab under the Community Pull Down menu.  Finally, the Articles tab is full of fantastic resources such as The Archivist’s “Inside the Game” articles.

DM – NORTH

Born after the death of The Reserve Pool” forums “What Have You Played” thread – DM North has become the hub for, not only the entire Canadian Dice Masters scene, but a go to resource for Dice Masters Players around the world.  Team Building articles, Spoilers, How-To’s, Game Play, an Essentials List and team lists abound on the site.  Kim & Jocelyn have also recently started a new Podcast called “A Double Double ‘n Dice”.  Check it all out!

DM ARMADA

The Youtube sensation Stephen “DM Armada” Cookus has been one of the leading voices at supporting, teaching, and evangelizing (even TO’ing the 2019 Dice Masters World Championships) the game to the world at large.  Check out his Youtube channel for team brews, tournament coverage, how-to’s, spoilers and more!

BRITROLLERSIX and THE MINISTRY of DICE PODCAST

Across the pond, our kindred spirit and competitor-in-crime, Chris “True Mister Six” Williams, created a blog post about Dice Masters in 2016 (?) called britrollersix.com. The success of that site, which features articles, team brews, tournament reviews, and spoiler analysis led him to launch, together with 2017 Dice Masters UK National Champion, Andrew England, the first British Dice Masters Podcast ever, which with the help of Michela Kuba was promptly titled “The Ministry of Dice.”  A bi-weekly podcast full of hilarity and practical tips, not to mention the ongoing saga of the Six family’s toilet tragedy!  Tune in!

dm:united

From their website… “Dice Masters: United is a project which brings together four content producers and players of this wonderful game: James Blore, Spug, Peter Van de Velde & Ben Said Scott.” These are some heavy hitters on the Dice Masters scene!  Well worth a listen and view!  On their site you can find links to their podcast, Peter’s playmats, StuARTs custom cards, James’ videos and links to the weekly online Dice Masters tournament called Dice Fight!

The dm:united site also incorporates all of the earlier work from what was once called “Dice Masters with James & Zack”.  James Blore & Zack Pope originally teamed up on their Youtube channel to, “try out crazy combos, meta teams, and fun ideas in Dice Masters.”  James also produced some incredible “How To” videos and Rules/Mechanics explanation videos to the mix.  If you’re interested in learning how to play or want to learn more about the mechanics of Dice Masters click the links to find out more.

CR GAME ROOM

Chris and Rob’s Game Room has a big voice in the Dice Masters Community.  Started by Chris Zuroski and Robert Hernandez as a place to play games online, it now includes Ryan Slater, Joe Vega and occasionally Ben Said Scott as collaborators.  They talk Dice Masters, Magic The Gathering and run tournaments such as the extremely popular Two Team Take Down, Monthly One Shots and helped facilitate & stream the One Big Weekend – Corona Consolation Tournaments.  Live streaming on Wednesdays – Check ’em out!

THE WEEKLY DICE ARENA

The inimitable Ross Foster created and hosts The Weekly Dice Arena which he describes as, “a weekly Dice Masters event broadcast LIVE each Tuesday @ 9pm EST!  There is a new team-building format each week.”  You can find, not only these WDA games on his Twitch and Youtube channels, but they also showcase games from OBW:o and the 2019 Dice Masters World Championships, which he co-hosted with DM Armada. Ross is your man when it comes to Twitch and the live-streaming of Dice Masters!

4 HORSEMEN COMICS AND GAMING (TRUBIE’S YOUTUBE)

In addition to all the amazing work Trubie does for the Dice Coalition (Team Builder, OBS template, etc.) and maintaining the Transition Zone app for Android users, Trubie Turner is a tremendous player who also posts fantastic Dice Masters content to Youtube for 4 Horsemen Comics in West Virginia.  Teams, lore, the Year in Review and disussions on Rules and Mechanics all can be found here!

DICE ANON ARTICLES

Dice Anon was a tremendous site and podcast back in 2014-2015 that helped launch the game into prominence. Some of its contributors included Mathew Tucker, Nick Pham, Shawn Ely, Robert (“The Archivist”) Tomilowitz, Myke Trias, and the 2014 National Champion and Hall of Fame member, David Walsh. Here are a handful of the articles that are still very useful today… especially the ones on PXG & Passing Priority!

GAMING WITH SIDEKICKS

To quote from their site, “Gaming with Sidekicks (GwS) is a site to explore the world of family friendly gaming. The “crew” is a group of guys that originally came together playing Dice Masters and ended up producing content for “The Reserve Pool”, a website and podcast for the game. After a few years there, Isaac, Stuart, JT and Randy decided they wanted to branch out and explore more than just DM, so they started GwS.”  Those are some pretty big names in the history of Dice Masters and although the site is primarily concentrating on other board games at the moment, they still post spoilers and other Dice Masters related content, plus they have their own Podcast!

BREATH WEAPON X

A relative newcomer to the scene Alex and Rob launched a Youtube channel in late 2019, which is “dedicated to Dice Masters and annoying each other.”  In truth, it’s a channel highlighting fun, off-meta teams and back catalogue cards in an effort to celebrate the breadth and creativity of the game.  Every episode they play a match with teams constructed from “difficult team building restrictions.”  Check them out!

USEFUL DM COMMUNITY LINKS

WIZKIDS RESOURCES

Let’s not forget the company that makes the game!  There are articles and puzzles on their main site and the win is the place to sign up as a player and to find/register for events, check the rules forum and more!  Also – don’t forget to check the keywords page for the most up to date, rules-accurate, descriptions of Dice Masters Keywords (this page supersedes reminder text).

ROLLIN’ THUNDER – TALKIN’ DICE MASTERS!

Lest we leave ourselves out of the action – we founded the site and the Rollin’ Thunder Podcast when the Double Burst crew out of Utah hung up their cleats.  You should hopefully be able to find everything through the pull down menus at the top of the page, but I’ll throw a few links in here, just in case.  If we’ve failed to mention or overlooked any resources on this page, please let us know and we will be happy to update it ASAP.

THE RESERVE POOL

The Reserve Pool was the central hub for the Dice Masters community until it closed shop in 2017.  At the time it was a fantastic resource for players with articles, podcasts, a Wiki, community forums and more.  Unfortunately, much of those resources are lost.  However, I have access to a few articles that when I receive permission to repost them… I will link to them here.  Until then, here are iTunes links to some of the old Podcast episodes.

A Bi-Weekly Blast of thought provoking entertainment!
